It’s that time of year once again. With winter quickly approaching, IFML is gearing up for another exciting ice season, covering the best and latest information about ice fishing on Mille Lacs lake.
For the 2021/2022 ice season on Mille Lacs, on top of our fishing reports, ice thickness maps, and resort ice road maps, we plan to introduce even more excellent tools and resources designed to help ice anglers catch more fish. This year, we plan to work even more closely with resorts, fishing guides, and local businesses from around the lake to reduce further the time it takes for us to process and share data such as fishing specifics and ice/lake conditions.
2021 Mille Lacs Ice Fishing Season Goals
Goal One: One of our top goals is to reduce our Mille Lacs Ice Thickness map to a single resource displayed on a single web page with thicknesses updated in real-time.
Goal Two: Our next goal in the works is to introduce an entirely new feature called our Follow the Bite Map. This map will share up-to-date locations around the lake that correlate with the latest walleye migrational patterns gathered in real-time and cross-referenced with data from previous ice seasons.
