There are eleven public accesses around lake Mille Lacs that are maintained by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. These public boat launch accesses are free to use for the public and include ample parking, concrete boat ramps, and trash receptacles.  The eleven Mille Lacs public boat accesses are open twenty-four hours a day unless posted otherwise. They accommodate both trailered boats and hand-launched boats such as canoes and paddleboats. The public boat access on Mille lacs also features nice docks to make launching boats much easier and again have no launch fees or parking permit requirements.

• Isle Bay Public Access
  Located on the east side of the City of Isle and has a concrete ramp.
• Wahkon Bay Public Access
  Located right in the City of Wahkon and has Gravel access.
• Cove Bay Public Access
  Located in Cove Bay and has a Concrete ramp.
• Father Hennepin State Park Public Access
  Father Hennepin State Park Public Access but requires a park access sticker.
• Shah-Bush-Kung Bay Public Access
  Located on the west side of the lake off Highway 169 and has a concrete ramp.
• Garrison Bay Public Access
  Located at the Garrison rest area and has a concrete ramp.
• North Garrison Bay Public Access
  Located on the northwest side of Lake off Highway 169 and has a concrete ramp.
• Wealthwood Bay Public Access
  Located on the north end of the lake along Highway 18 and has a concrete ramp.
• Malmo Park Public Access
  Located on the northeast corner of the lake off Highway 18 and has a concrete ramp.
• Cedar Creek Public Access
  Located on the east side of the lake. Drive 5 miles north of Isle on Highway 47 and public launch is on the left-hand side and has a concrete ramp.
• Liberty Beach Public Access
  Located on the east side of the lake just north of Big Point and has a new concrete ramp.
